Weigh-in #3-Monday

I have lost a total of 11 pounds! Not too shabby for 3 weeks. If I could have hit the 12 lb. mark, it would have been an average of 4 per week. Oh, well, 11 is pretty darn good, so I shouldn't complain.
I also lost 2-3" on my bust, 2" on my waist, 1.5" on my arms. My darn butt & thighs haven't changed...of course! The bane of my existence!
I decided to make it easier and buy a box of cereal, a box of chicken soup and a box of the cran-granata bars. I am trying the Dr. Oz idea of eating the same thing every day. Of course the veggies, salads and dinners will be different, but I will have less chance of messing it up with the 3 protein packs being the same.
My sciatica is still bad after another trip to the chiropractor so I think I have to break down and call my regular doctor tomorrow and she what she thinks.
It is really getting me down. I am not even in the mood to write right now!
And here I was so excited with the 5 lb. loss this week!
I should be excited because 11 lbs.- that is a size! Of course I was sort of stuffing myself into a 16 jeans so I don't know that I'd really be a 14 being I was just kidding myself on being a size 16! The 16s are getting baggy, though. And I am not using the last hook on my bras now, depending on which bra, I am using the tightest or second tightest.
I haven't tried on my wedding dress yet, I want to wait awhile longer!

  1. OMG! I am so proud of you. Okay, a few things: 1st thank you for writing even though you're not feeling up to it! I appreciate you. 2nd - WAY to go on the 5 lbs! You're doing it. You're doing it, you're actually doing it. 11 lbs off of your body! That's good stuff. Wow, the inches thing, what a wake up that must have been. Awesome! 3rd - you're right about calling the dr. you gotta take care of you. 4th: all that stuff about protein packs, and eating the same foods etc doesn't make a lot of sense, but I'm sure if I was on the plan I'd get it, so I'm sure I'll take that and run with it when the time comes. And last but not least - Keep up the good work. One day at a time. You can do this; you will be a beautiful bride!

  2. Yay...5 more pounds off!! Good for you.
I've managed to make it through day 2 of the IP diet. I started coming down with a cold last week and it hit full force Saturday night so yesterday and today I haven't really been up to par and have actually had to make a concious effort to eat. Being doped up on cold and sinus medication doesn't help my appetite either. I am in full Ketosis though so that makes me happy. I'm not usually one to be excited about the scale but I can't wait for my weigh in on Saturday.
Good job on staying away form the cookies on Saturday! That being said....bad....gravy and forbidden foods are, well, forbidden. Betcha would have hit the 12 pound mark had you been good!! It's quite remarkable how such a tiny little cheat can make such a difference but it does. I was on a simular diet 2 years ago and when I was faithful I lost 5-6 pounds a week. If I had even one cookie or an extra fruit at any point, just once, that was enough to screw up the whole entire week and if I lost a pound I would be lucky. It's the Ketosis. Your body burns fat as long as your in ketosis the minute your body comes out of it, with such low cals being consumed you hold on to every single calorie. (I know you know all this:) It sucks really:) SO NO MORE forbidden foods!!!;) I'll behave if you behave;)
    Take care and be good!!!
